Buick, the division of U.S. automobile manufacturer General Motors, has made history again by revealing its new model to the North-American market at the latest Wildcat EV concept of April 2023, the Envista. The All-new Envista had been previously unveiled to the Chinese market in 2022, where the compact urban crossover design continued to position the brand as a youth-facing manufacturer.

The Envista combines all the advantages of an SUV, cargo space and utility with the sleek and sporty design of a Sedan. The unique compact, urban, and modern design is expected to “shake up” the small SUV segment, according to Global Vice President Buick-GMC, Duncan Aldred. The reasoning behind the 2024 Envista is simple. Buick wanted to address the needs of young professionals and small families with a model that ticks all their boxes:
● An electric vehicle that is affordable ● A compact and urban vehicle that doesn’t compromise on cargo space ● A utility vehicle that is comfortable both inside and outside of towns ● A luxury feel SUV without the premium price tag ● An appealing and sleek design that can compete against premium brands
The Envista comes in three specific trims displaying each a unique personality trait: Preferred, ST (Sport Touring) and Avenir. It is worth noting as well that Envista is the first Buick vehicle to incorporate all the latest design evolution the manufacturer first highlighted during the Wildcat EV concept 2022. Debuting the Tri-Shield Buick logo, which has been in use since this year, the 2024 Envista encompasses a modern concept born from over 100 years of automotive heritage.

Its low roofline and prominent tailgate give the couple-like body the dynamic proportions of an urban compact SUV. As Executive Director Global Buick-GMC Design explains, “the Envista represents a pure expression of Buick design,” taking the brand’s “sculptural beauty to the next level.”
Inside, the Envista keeps its promise of being an affordable premium SUV capable of matching the standards of technologies seen in luxury brands. Attention to detail and interactive technology is the motto, from spacious legroom to the largest infotainment screen in the small SUV segment. Buick’s signature road noise canceling system, QuietTuning, also brings the cabin experience to the next level.
The tech-savvy and cargo-friendly vehicle is designed to satisfy drivers and provide a premium and enjoyable experience. Compared to previous 1.2L Turbo engine generations. Buick is proud to announce that the 2024 Envista is much lighter, improving handling and efficiency on the road. The turbocharger allows for greater responsiveness for a more engaging driving experience for all.

The 2024 Envista is expected to be available to Canadian customers in the summer of 2023 after entering production this May. Dealerships are already equipped for preview, and customers can consult Buick’s Canadian website for unique build and order in the following months.
